Through Many Tribulations we Enter into the full enjoyment of Christ as the Kingdom

Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, unhindered. Acts 28:31

The kingdom of God, which we preach as the gospel, is the spreading of Christ as life into His believers to form a realm in which God rules in His life.

We need to continue in the faith, realising that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God, for the whole world is against our enjoyment of the resurrected Christ as the kingdom of God. Oh Lord Jesus!

The book of Acts has many important items, including the matters of the Divine Trinity and the kingdom of God. The Divine Trinity is the structure of the book of Acts; if we read this book we realise that, chapter after chapter, the operation of the Divine Trinity is unveiled for the carrying out of God’s New Testament economy.

It was not just the disciples of Christ coordinating and doing their best to preach the gospel so that the good news would spread. Moreover, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit were fully involved with the move, work, speaking, and doing of the disciples of Christ.

The apostles and the disciples were not just going here and there to preach the gospel and raise churches, either accidentally or in an organised way; rather, it was Christ speaking and moving through them, the disciples being filled with the Spirit, and the kingdom of God being preached as the gospel to be enlarged on earth.

Furthermore, we need to realise that the kingdom of God is the main subject of the apostles’ preaching in Acts.

The Lord Jesus spent forty days after His resurrection, appearing before the disciples and speaking to them the things concerning the kingdom of God.

This shows that the kingdom would be the main subject of the apostles’ preaching in their coming commission after Pentecost.

After the disciples we baptised with the outpoured Holy Spirit as their power, they propagated the resurrected Christ by the Spirit for the producing of the churches, the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God has as its reality the resurrected Christ; the apostles preached the resurrected Christ as the gospel, and the kingdom of God was enlarged.

In the books before Acts, in the Gospels, we see how Christ came as the kingdom of God, even as the seed of the kingdom, and He sowed Himself into man as the seed of the kingdom.

Then, in the book of Acts, we see how this seed of the kingdom was propagated and sown all over, both in Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth, for the kingdom of God to be enlarged. Hallelujah!

Christ Spreads in us as the Kingdom until we Share in the Kingdom today, Inherit the Kingdom in the Coming age, and Enjoy the Kingdom as our Eternal Blessing!

Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5

The kingdom of God in the sense of life is Christ Himself; Christ came as the seed of the kingdom to sow Himself into the soil of our heart, and He grows in us to become the kingdom of God in us.

The kingdom of God is not something we see outwardly but something within us. It is the Lord Jesus Himself who sowed Himself as the seed of life into us, the believers in Christ, to develop into a realm in which God may rule as His kingdom in His divine life (2 Pet. 1:3-11).

How can we enter into this kingdom?

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Rom. 14:17 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. Rev. 20:6To enter into the kingdom of God as the realm of the divine life, people need to repent of their sins and believe in the gospel so that their sins may be forgiven and so that they may be regenerated by God to have the divine life, which matches the divine nature of this kingdom (Mark 1:15; John 3:3, 5).

We can enter into the kingdom of God through repentance and faith in Christ. When we preach the gospel of the kingdom today, those who hear it need to repent.

Yes, calling on the Lord is necessary, but as we call on the Lord, we need to realise that we are sinners, we need a turn, a complete change, even a change of mind, so we repent.

When someone believes into the Lord, we need to shepherd them into a personal relationship with the Lord to always allow the Lord to shine on them so that they repent.

There needs to be the clearing of the past and dealing with all the sins and trespasses the Lord shines on. For us to remain in the kingdom of God, we need to continue to repent before the Lord day by day, as He shines on us. We repent, we confess, and He forgives; He also forgets what He forgives.

All the believers in Christ can share the kingdom in the church age for their enjoyment of God in His righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom. 14:17).

After we enter into the kingdom of God by repentance and faith in Christ, we now need to live in this kingdom; the kingdom in this age is the church life, where we enjoy God in His righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

We take Christ as our righteousness, we enjoy Him as our peace, and we have Him as joy; we live the church life in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

We need to learn to live in our mingled spirit day by day, being ruled by the divine life so that we may live in the reality of the kingdom of God today.

The kingdom of God is in spirit; when we’re in our spirit, we are in the kingdom, but when we’re not in our spirit, we are not in the kingdom of God in reality.

Deep within our spirit, the all-inclusive Christ is mingled with our spirit, and we will eventually come to be aware that deep within we have righteousness, we have peace, and we have the joy of God; this is when the Lord can separate our soul from our spirit.

The kingdom of God will become the kingdom of Christ and of God for the overcoming believers to inherit and enjoy in the coming kingdom age so that they may reign with Christ for a thousand years (see 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5; Rev. 20:4, 6).

And they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more; and they have no need of the light of a lamp and of the light of the sun, for the Lord God will shine upon them; and they will reign forever and ever. Rev. 22:4-5We want to be part of this, entering into the manifestation of the kingdom in the coming age, to rule and reign with Christ! Amen!

As the eternal kingdom, the kingdom of God will be an eternal blessing of God’s eternal life for all of God’s redeemed to enjoy in the new heaven and new earth for eternity (Rev. 21:1-4; 22:1-5, 14, 17).

For eternity, we will all enjoy the kingdom of God as an eternal blessing; however, we want to be in the manifestation of the kingdom in the coming age!

This is why, in our personal relationship with the Lord, we need to make a decision before the Lord to deal with everything He shines on so that we may be able to reign with Him.

In particular, we need to deal with the Lord in the matter of our speaking.

Many times we speak words, we express ourselves, and we utter what we feel and think; however, we may not be aware that every word we have spoken is recorded and will be replayed when we stand at the judgment seat of Christ. Oh Lord!

We shouldn’t be introspective about it or try to analyse ourselves or stop ourselves from saying this or that, but ask the Lord to enlighten us concerning our speaking and the words we say.

We need to let His light shine on us and expose us, and we need to be in His word so that we would be renewed and speak one with Him.

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into us as the seed of the kingdom to grow in us and develop into a realm in which God can rule and reign in the divine life! We repent, Lord, and we believe into You. Shine on us; we confess what Your light exposes, and we open to You for more light. Hallelujah, we are regenerated by God to have the divine life which matches the divine nature of the kingdom of God! We exercise our spirit to share in the kingdom in this age for our enjoyment of God in His righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit! Amen, Lord, we want to live according to the divine life and nature, developing the virtues in the divine nature so that we may inherit and enjoy the kingdom of God and of Christ in the coming age! Oh Lord, make us Your overcomers, those who will reign with You for a thousand years in the millennium! Oh, praise the Lord, the kingdom of God will be an eternal blessing of God’s eternal life for all of God’s redeemed to enjoy in the new heaven and new earth for eternity!

Through Many Tribulations we Enter into the Full Enjoyment of Christ as the Kingdom

Establishing the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith and saying that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22

In Acts 14:22, Paul established the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith and saying that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

We need to realise that through many tribulations we enter into the kingdom of God, for the whole world opposes our entering in.

The whole world today hates God and His kingdom, and it opposes the entering of God’s people into the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom.

Satan uses everything in the world, including such seemingly good things as religion, ethics, morality, and philosophy to distract us from the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom of God.

In the days of the early disciples, Satan utilised Judaism to usurp and frustrate the believers from entering into the kingdom of God. Judaism was something invented by man based on the word of God, and it became something that frustrated the early believers from enjoying Christ in full.

So Paul had to write many Epistles to expose aspect after aspect of Judaism, which Satan used to distract the believers from enjoying Christ as the reality.

Throughout the centuries, Satan used Catholicism, Protestantism, and Islam, together with many other forms of religion, to keep the people of God from entering into the full enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ as the kingdom of God. Oh Lord Jesus!

Because the whole world opposes our entering into the kingdom, we need to realise that, as we continue in the faith, through many tribulations, we must enter into the kingdom of God.

There are many tribulations that we go through, but we should not lose heart, for we’re on the way to enter into the kingdom (2 Cor. 6:4).

We need to ask the Lord for His mercy and grace day by day to be supplied as we go through tribulations.

We have not yet entered into the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom of God, but we are on the way. May we enter into the realm of the full enjoyment of the resurrected and ascended Christ as the kingdom of God.

We have heard the gospel concerning the resurrected Christ, we are enjoying this Christ as the holy and faithful things, as the grace of God, the eternal life, and as the all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit.

Our Christ is so rich and wonderful! As we enjoy Christ, as we exercise our spirit to enter into the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom of God, tribulations come our way.

We should not be surprised or upset when we see that persecution and tribulation is our portion as we seek to enter into the kingdom (1 Pet. 4:12).

Through all these tribulations, we need to endeavour to enter into the realm of the full enjoyment of the resurrected and ascended Christ as the kingdom of God.

As we enjoy such a Christ, we will be under the divine rule; spontaneously, we become the kingdom of God, which is the proper church life. Amen!

As we carry out our ministry to propagate the resurrected Christ as the kingdom of God, the kingdom of the devil is upset and rises up against us.

Every city and place where people live today is the kingdom of the devil; as we propagate the resurrected Christ and enter into the full enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ, we are fighting the battle for God’s kingdom.

But in everything we commend ourselves as ministers of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses. 2 Cor. 6:4 Beloved, do not think that the fiery ordeal among you, coming to you for a trial, is strange, as if it were a strange thing happening to you. 1 Pet. 4:12The whole earth is the kingdom of darkness, but we believers in Christ choose to remain in the light and spread the kingdom of God.

May we realise that a battle is raging between God and Satan. May we remain on God’s side, doing all things to absolutely be in the kingdom of God and never be involved with the kingdom of darkness.

In Acts 19 in particular we see that Satan is fighting against God’s spreading of His kingdom on earth; the prevailing ministry for the propagation of Christ is a fighting, a battle, for God’s kingdom (vv. 23-41).

The Lord is yearning and praying for us that we grow in life, apply the cross to the flesh, the self, and the natural constitution, so that we have a Body consciousness and participate in spiritual warfare.

May we carry on a prevailing ministry, being aware that we will be attacked by the enemy and realising that through many tribulations we will enter into the kingdom of God, the realm of the full enjoyment of Christ!

May we not be afraid of this. May we not be dismayed when tribulations come. May we not be discouraged when we are attacked. Rather, may we be encouraged, for our tribulations are helping us to enter into the kingdom of God so that we may be in the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom of God!

Lord Jesus, cause us to realise that through many tribulations we will enter into the kingdom of God. Grant us to have the same mind as Christ, being ready to suffer and being one with God in our suffering. Save us, Lord, from anything that distracts us from entering into the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom of God. Keep us enjoying You today. We want to enjoy You as grace, as the eternal life, and as the all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit so that we may be in the realm of God’s kingdom today. Oh Lord, may we not be afraid of the opposition and attacks from the enemy. May we have a prevailing ministry for the propagation of Christ, fighting the battle for God’s kingdom! Amen, Lord, we want to carry out our ministry to propagate the resurrected Christ all over the earth, starting with where You placed us right now! We stand one with You, Lord, and we want to fully be in the light, fully living in the kingdom of God. We don’t want to be involved with anything of the kingdom of darkness. Amen, Lord Jesus, we are not discouraged or dismayed when we see the enemy’s attacks and the tribulations coming our way; we are encouraged, for through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God!

In the light of what we have seen concerning the kingdom of God, let us now come back to Acts 14 and ask if the disciples whom Paul was exhorting had entered into the realm of the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom of God. No, those believers had not yet entered into that enjoyment; they were still on the way. Therefore, Paul charged them to enter into the realm of the full enjoyment of the resurrected and ascended Christ as the kingdom of God. Here he seemed to be saying, “I have preached to you the resurrected Christ as the holy and faithful things, as the grace of God, as eternal life, and even as the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit. The full enjoyment of grace, eternal life, and the Spirit is a realm, and this realm is God’s kingdom. You have not yet entered into this realm—you are on the way. Therefore, I exhort you through many tribulations to enter into the kingdom of God. You should expect opposition and be prepared for it. You will face much tribulation. But through all these tribulations you must endeavor to enter into the realm of the full enjoyment of the resurrected and ascended Christ as the kingdom of God. When you have the enjoyment of such a Christ, you will be under the divine rule. Then you will become the kingdom of God, which is the proper church life.”

Dear brother, the kingdom of God is the spreading of Christ as life into His believers to form a realm in which God rules in His life.

We enter into this realm by repentance and faith, and we life in the church life as the reality of the kingdom. We enter into the manifestation of the kingdom through many tribulations, for the whole world is against our enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ as the kingdom of God.

Lord Jesus, we want to enter into the realm of the full enjoyment of the resurrected and ascended Christ as the kingdom of God today! May we realise that all our tribulations are to help us enter into the kingdom!

Dear brother, we have entered into the Kingdom through regeneration and we must grow in the divine life in the church life today for its development.

We are on the way but we have not yet arrived at such a destination. However, whatever we do must be absolutely on the side of the Kingdom, otherwise the enemy will use the world and religion to frustrate and hinder the increase and spread of Christ through our propagation of Him for the Kingdom to come to the cities in darkness!

Lord, bring us more into the fullest enjoyment of Yourself as grace for the expansion of Your Kingdom today and as the reward of this inheritance in the coming age! Amen! Lord we want the full enjoyment of Christ to be ushered into the reality of the Kingdom for its coming manifestation as a reward!

There is only one way that leads to the reality of the kingdom of God — it’s the way of many tribulations. This is the way ordained by God and we must accept it.

Tribulations test our faith and are a demonstration of our growth in the divine life, which is essential for the development of the kingdom.

The kingdom of God today is the proper church life, which will eventually usher us into the New Jerusalem.

We must expect & be prepared for opposition, and even rejoice in it, because there is a battle raging between God and Satan, between the kingdom of God and the authority of darkness…

Amen brother. Thank you Lord for Your divine arrangement which works out for our good. Every single thing that happens is to make us the true princes of God. We praise You for Your unfathomable wisdom, oh Lord.

Having gained an entrance through regeneration into the Kingdom of God in Christ’s life, there’s the expectation of development & growth in the divine life and faithfulness on our part in order to receive the Kingdom as an inheritance reward. This will consummate in the eternal kingdom of God as our destination.

Today, we are on the way. This way is fraught with tribulations and opposition from entering the full enjoyment of Christ as the kingdom. Opposition by satanic forces of darkness will also be arrayed in our mission to propagate the resurrected Christ as God’s kingdom.

We need to enjoy Christ, be prepared, expect, and endure the enemy’s usurpation, tribulations, and frustrations.

We have the resurrected Christ as the holy & faithful things, the grace of life, the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit as our spiritual weapons with which to fight a battle for God’s kingdom. We need to be encouraged with this prevailing ministry to fight for the ongoing propagation of Christ as His continuation for His Kingdom today!

Amen, brother! Lord, cause us to enjoy Him more, grow in His life, take our standing in Him, overcome the enemy’s tribulations, and wear down frustrations to fight propagating the resurrected and ascended Christ for the eternal kingdom as our inheritance, Amen!

Amen, may we be on the side of the kingdom today. In everything we do, through all our tribulations, may we enter into the realm of the full enjoyment of Christ.

The world and its cities are in darkness and there is a war between God and Satan.

Lord, may we be those encouraged and carry on the prevailing ministry

Tribulations are the way that usher us into the Kingdom.

The more we go on, the more the kingdom of God is developed in us.

The whole world opposes our entering in and development of the Kingdom of God, which in the sense of life is Christ Himself, and the full enjoyment of Christ!

Therefore, a battle is raging!

Lord Jesus, gain the Kingdom of God, which is the proper church life among us!

The kingdom of God is one of the matters emphasized in this book. Luke’s writing here both begins (Acts 1:3) and ends with the kingdom of God.

This book was not actually ended; rather, it was left open that more may be added. The reason for this must have been that the work of the Holy Spirit in preaching Christ for His propagation, multiplication, and spread through the believers of Christ was not yet completed and needed to be continued for a long period of time. Such an evangelistic work for Christ’s propagation, multiplication, and spread is according to God’s New Testament economy for the producing of many sons for God (Rom. 8:29) that they might be the members of Christ to constitute His Body (Rom. 12:5) for the carrying out of God’s eternal plan and the fulfillment of His eternal will. This is revealed in detail in the twenty-one Epistles and the book of Revelation, which follow this book. The church produced by Christ’s propagation and multiplication is the sphere in which God is expressed and in which He reigns in Christ; hence, the church becomes the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God, along with Christ’s propagation and multiplication, grows out of and spreads from God’s life. Acts is a record of the spreading of Christ; it is also a record of the kingdom of God, because the kingdom of God is the expansion of Christ. The gospel that is widely preached in this book is the very Christ as the gospel (Acts 5:42), the gospel of Christ, and it is also the kingdom of God as the gospel (Acts 8:12), the gospel of the kingdom of God. The preaching of such a gospel will continue and advance until the whole earth becomes the kingdom of Christ (Rev. 11:15).

In the four Gospels God was incarnated, passed through human living, died, and resurrected, thus completing Christ, the embodiment of the Triune God (Col. 2:9). In Acts this embodiment of God, as the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45), spreads Christ into His believers, i.e., works the processed Triune God into His chosen, redeemed, and transformed people to make them the constituents of the church, through which God may be expressed. The ultimate issue of the church will be the New Jerusalem in eternity future as God’s full and eternal expression, which will also be God’s eternal kingdom as the sphere in which He reigns in His divine life in eternity forever and ever. This should be the reality and goal of all gospel preaching today.

Acts 28:31 footnote 2 on, kingdom of God.
