Called more Strongly to Live within the Veil through the Cross after Resurrection

Your people will offer themselves willingly / In the day of Your warfare, / In the splendor of [their] consecration. / Your young men will be to You / Like the dew from the womb of the dawn. Psa. 110:3

As lovers of Christ in the progressive stages of enjoying and experiencing Christ in the divine romance, we are called more strongly to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection; we’re becoming heavenly bodies full of light, even the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function, and though we are weak, we’re counted worthy to be the Lord’s overcomers, His armies.

The book of Song of Songs is full of spiritual significance when it comes to our experience of Christ in our divine romance with Him.

This book is a love story of an excellent marriage which reveals the progressive experience of an individual believer’s loving fellowship with Christ consummating in the preparation of the bride of Christ for Him to return.

First, we see that we as lovers of Christ are drawn to pursue Him for satisfaction, and the Lord wants us to have a personal and affectionate, private and spiritual relationship with Him.

Then, in the second stage, we are called to be delivered from the self through our oneness with the cross of Christ.

Pursuing the Lord for satisfaction may lead to introspection and focus on the self; we need to be delivered from introspection and from the self by being one with the cross of Christ by the power of His resurrection.

In the third stage, we as lovers of Christ are called to live in ascension as the new creation in resurrection; this means that we’re called to continually live in our mingled spirit, for that’s where the Lord dwells.

When we live in our spirit in a continual way every day, we become the “car” for Christ to move around, for we express His humanity, we’re inlaid with love for Him, and we are constituted with the Triune God.

This causes us to become mature in the riches of the life of Christ, and we live a life for God’s satisfaction; when trials come and the winds blow, the fragrance of Christ is spread through us.

We are in the process of being transformed into the image of Christ, and the riches of Christ are being constituted into us as pursue the Lord, love Him, and allow Him to work in us and to work Himself into us.

As we daily cultivate our relationship with the Lord in a personal, affectionate, private, and spiritual way, there’s an inner change happening: our natural being is torn down, and we’re remodelled with Christ.

We are inwardly becoming the same as Christ and we outwardly express His humanity, for we are constituted with Him and He flows in and out of us.

Called more Strongly to Live within the Veil through the Cross after Resurrection to be Transformed into Heavenly Luminaries

Who is this woman who looks forth like the dawn, / As beautiful as the moon, / As clear as the sun, / As terrible as an army with banners? Song of Songs 6:10In the fourth stage of Song of Songs, we as lovers of Christ are called more strongly to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection (Song of Songs 5:2-6:13).

Yes, we have experienced the cross in dealing with the self and introspection, but we need a deeper experience of the cross; we need to live within the veil through the cross.

By living within the veil, we are being transformed into heavenly bodies (6:10); we become a “woman who looks forth like the dawn, as beautiful as the moon, as clear as the sun.”

As we live within the veil through the cross after resurrection we become overcoming believers who are luminaries reflecting the light of Christ, the sun, in the church age today (Phil. 2:15).

In the next age, the overcoming believers will shine forth like the sun (Matt. 13:43; Dan. 12:3).

In Rev. 12:1, 5 we see the woman clothed with the sun and having the moon underneath her feet; the people of God who produce the overcomers (who are the manchild within the woman) are shining.

Today, however, those who overcome reflect the light of Christ to be heavenly luminaries, expressing Christ.

As believers in Christ, we are His chosen people, heavenly people, those who shine brightly.

Our path as overcomers is like the light of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until the full day (Prov. 4:18; John 1:5).

Until the Lord returns to steal us as His precious ones or until we go to meet Him, we want the rest of our days to be brighter and brighter until the full day!

The enemy is here, however, and he does not suddenly turn off the light; he works on dimming the brightness of the light until we are in full darkness and we still think we have light. Oh, Lord.

May we open to the Lord daily and have short accounts with Him, repenting and confessing as He shines on us, so that we may advance with Him and have our path brighter and brighter.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, / Which shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Prov. 4:18 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:5 Because of the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high. Luke 1:78 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, / Which shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Prov. 4:18May we answer God’s call to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection so that we may be transformed into heavenly bodies, luminaries who shine forth the word of life.

The light of dawn, the sunrise, signifies both Christ in His coming and our being revived every morning; our Christian life is like the dawning of the sun (Luke 1:78; Prov. 4:18; Psa. 110:3; Judg. 5:31).

May we be those who spend time with the Lord early in the morning, those who are revived every morning to have His shining as the sun and reflect Him like the moon.

May we be the young men who spend time in the womb of the dawn (Psa. 110:3) by having secret, private, personal, affectionate, and spiritual time with the Lord.

When we contact the Lord in the morning and spend personal time with Him, we get into the womb of the dawn and something fresh of Christ is conceived in our being.

At the same time, we become the dew to Christ to water Him in the day of His warfare.

On one hand, we are watered and supplied by Him; on the other hand, He is watered and refreshed by us.

We should not miss our personal time with the Lord; rather, we should treasure our time with Him, especially in the morning.

Lord Jesus, cause us to hear Your stronger call for us to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection. May we live within the veil in our mingled spirit until we are transformed into heavenly bodies, the luminaries that shine forth with Christ as the light. Amen, Lord Jesus, may our path be like the light of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until the full day! Keep us coming to You day by day to spend time with You in a personal, affectionate, private, and spiritual way so that we may be infused with You and shine You forth! May we daily come to You, especially in the morning, to enjoy You and be revived! May our Christian life be like the dawning of the sun, shining brighter and brighter until we meet You in the full day! Amen, Lord, make us Your overcomers!

In the Maturity of Christ’s Life, we become the same as Christ and, though we are Weak, we become the Overcomers who Depend on the Lord

Return, return, O Shulammite; / Return, return, that we may gaze at you. / Why should you gaze at the Shulammite, / As upon the dance of two camps? Song of Songs 6:13

As we heed the Lord’s call to live within the veil through the cross after resurrection, we grow in life unto maturity.

In the maturity of Christ’s life, we as lovers of Christ become the Shulammite (the feminine form of “Solomon”); this signifies that we are becoming the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead.

The lover in Song of Songs becomes the Shulammite (Song of Songs 6:13); she becomes the reproduction of Solomon in her loving relationship and experience with him.

As we grow in life unto maturity and live within the veil through the cross, we become the same as Christ in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead, to be the reproduction and duplication of Christ to match Him for our marriage (2 Cor. 3:18).

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world that He might shame those [who are] wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world that He might shame the things that are strong, And the lowborn things of the world and the despised things God has chosen, things which are not, that He might bring to nought the things which are. 1 Cor. 1:27-28 Since you seek a proof of the Christ who is speaking in me, who is not weak unto you but is powerful in you. For indeed He was crucified out of weakness, but He lives by the power of God. For indeed we are weak in Him, but we will live together with Him by the power of God [directed] toward you. 2 Cor. 13:3-4Furthermore, as Song of Songs 6:13 says, we are like the dance of two camps; in Hebrew, the word is Mahanaim, which is very specific, relating to Gen. 32:2.

Jacob was on his way to his father’s land, and he had four wives, many children, servants, flocks, and herds, and he was fearful that Esau, his brother, still wanted to kill him.

He didn’t have any strong ones with him; he only had women and children, the weak ones, the feeble ones.

But on the way, the angels of God met him, and he said, This is God’s camp, so he called the name of that place Mahanaim (vv. 1-2).

After that, Jacob divided his wives, children, and the rest of his possessions into two groups, “two armies”; he saw that the angels were in two camps, and he realized that, though all he has is so weak, they are like two armies, two camps of armies.

This is very significant spiritually. We believers in Christ are the weak ones, the feeble ones, but we are more than conquerors, for we are the armies of God.

In a sense, God doesn’t want or need “giants” or “superheroes”; He is not after giant spiritual warriors or lone heor rangers.

What God wants is the weak ones, the women and the children, those who trust in the Lord, for it is He who does the fighting, not them.

The ones who are counted to be overcomers are the weaker ones, those who admit that they can’t make it, they can’t be it, and they can’t do it; they trust in the Lord desperately, and they seek to live in oneness with Him.

They see God’s requirement, they realize what is God’s need, and they see the need for the spiritual warfare, but they know they are not qualified, so they fully depend on the Lord and on the Body.

Both Tirzah and Jerusalem are cities, buildings, not single pieces of stone; we cannot fight the battle on our own but in the Body, one with the Lord and with the saints, trusting in the Lord and depending on the fellowship.

We fight the battle in the Body and one with the Lord, not on our own.

The spiritual significance of the two armies is the strong testimony that we more than conquer, we “super-overcome” through Him who loved us, according to the principle of the Body of Christ (Rom. 8:37; 12:5).

God doesn’t want those who are strong in themselves; He wants only the feeble ones, the weaker ones, the “women and the children”, those who think they can’t do it but give themselves to Him for Him to do it in them (1 Cor. 1:26-28; 2 Cor. 1:8-9; 12:9-10; 13:3-5).

After he saw the two armies of God, Jacob did a marvelous thing. He divided his wives, children, and the rest of his possessions into two groups, or “two armies.”...This is full of spiritual significance...This means that we are more than conquerors. It also signifies a strong testimony. God does not want “giants.” He wants only the feeble ones, the weaker ones, the women and children. They can become His armies because the fighting is not in their hands but in His hands. Those who are counted as overcomers will be the weaker ones, the ones who wept with tears, saying, “Lord, I cannot make it. Thank You for releasing all these high-peak truths unveiling to us what we should be. We should be in the Holy of Holies, living within the veil. We should be in oneness with You. You are our dwelling place, and we are Your dweller. I want to attain to this, but I cannot do anything. I am just a little one, a feeble one.” Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “Crystallization-study of Song of Songs,” pp. 347-349Those who are counted worthy to be overcomers will be the weaker ones who depend on the Lord.

Such ones run to Him, trust in Him, and allow Him to do whatever He needs to do in them for the sake of His purpose.

May we be those who fully depend on the Lord, trust in Him, and have no confidence in the self; may we realize that we’re the weaker ones, the feeble ones, those who can’t do it in themselves.

It is such ones that are qualified to be overcomers, and they become one with Christ, even they become Christ in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

Our destiny is to be the Shulammite, the counterpart of Christ as our Solomon; we will become the same as God in life, nature, expression, and function, but not in the Godhead.

This is what the Bible tells us that God’s intention is; He intends to make Himself the same as we are so that we may be made and might become the same as He is in every possible way but not in His Godhead, so that we and Him, He and us, may live an eternal married life in full oneness and utmost enjoyment in love.

This blows our religious mind and our human concepts, and this is beyond our human comprehension; however, this is what the Bible says, and we say Amen to the word of God.

We want to cooperate with the Lord for the fulfilment of His desire, so we tell Him in all honesty,

Lord Jesus, we can’t make it, we can’t do it, and we can’t be it. Thank You for showing us Your intention to make us the same as You are in life and nature; in ourselves, we can’t do it. You desire us to be in the Holy of Holies, living within the veil through the cross. Your intention is for us to be in oneness with You, for You are our dwelling place and we’re Your dweller. We want to attain to this, Lord, but we’re so weak; we can’t do it, and we’re so feeble. We come to You, Lord, and we ask You: do it in us! Do everything in us and for us. We depend on You. We trust in You and we have no confidence in the self. We are the feeble ones, the weak ones, but we trust in You and we depend on You! Amen, Lord, make us the same as You are! Gain Your Shulammite, Your counterpart that matches You in every possible way for Your eternal married life!

An army indicates the principle of the Body. Both Tirzah and Jerusalem are buildings, not single pieces of stone…We should humble ourselves and admit that we are nothing… We can say, “Praise You, Lord…What a joy that You do everything and have done everything for me!” All the overcomers must be one with God and must be Christ… As a counterpart of Solomon, [the Shulammite] has become the same as Solomon in life, in nature, in expression, and in function for the carrying out of God’s economy. In these four things—life, nature, expression, and function—we become the same as God and Christ but not in Their Godhead. To say that we are the same as God in His Godhead is a great blasphemy, but if we say that we cannot be the same as God in life, nature, expression, and function, this is unbelief. The Bible tells us again and again that God wants to be one with us and to make us one with Him. This is God’s intention. Wow, brother, God doesn’t want those who are strong in themselves – He wants only the feeble ones, the weaker ones, the “women and the children”.

Those who are counted worthy to be overcomers will be the weaker ones who depend on the Lord. We need to humble ourselves and tell the Lord,

Lord, we cannot make it. We want to be Your overcomers, but we’re weak and feeble, and we can’t do it! Do it in us, Lord. Produce us as Your overcomers. Praise You, Lord: what a joy that You do everything and have done everything for us! Make us Your Shulammite, Your counterpart!

As God’s chosen people, we should be heavenly and should shine brightly.

However, in ourselves, we are nothing and we cannot achieve anything for God.

In God and in Christ, we can be like Yeshua in life, nature, expression & function.

We must believe that if we join ourselves to Christ, God can make us like Him in life, nature, expression & function.

What a joy it is that God can make this our reality; He can make us ones who reflect the light of Christ in this age, and those who will shine forth Christ Himself in the kingdom age.

Christ needs someone to match Him to be His bride – the Shulammite – who is the same as He is in life, nature, expression and function but not in the Godhead.

Praise the Lord this is what we are becoming through His transforming work, being luminaries in the church age, to reflect Him!

In ourselves we are feeble and weak unable to overcome but it is not God’s desire to have strong ones but those in whom in He has done and can do everything! Hallelujah!

Lord, I cannot make it but I want to be one who is like the dawn, as beautiful as the moon and as clear as the sun with all those who whom You are manifesting Yourself for Your glory!
