Christ as God is the eternal King, for He abides forever and His throne is from generation to generation; we can enjoy not only His fresh and new mercies, His lovingkindness, so that we are not consumed, but we can also touch God’s economy and see Christ as the eternal King in His righteousness and justice who abides forever!
Hallelujah for Christ as God, the eternal King! Amen, Lord, we praise You and we worship You! Your throne is from generation to generation. You abide forever. We enthrone You in our being. You are our king. Amen, Lord Jesus, You are the King! We thank You not only for Your lovingkindness but also for Your righteousness and Your everlastingness! Praise the Lord!
We truly need to see a vision of the Christ revealed in the book of Revelation; this Christ is the King, the One who is coming to take possession of the earth and make it His kingdom.
Today, the earth is ruled by Satan; we may think that this is the default, but actually, according to the Bible, Satan is the illegal ruler of this world. Satan usurps us and the whole world.
The real owner of the earth is Christ. First of all, God created the earth with all things in it for His purpose, and the means of creating everything was Christ. Christ is the very Word of God that created all things.
Even more, Christ came through incarnation to redeem us; we became fallen, and the whole earth with all things and beings in it became fallen, so Christ came to redeem us.
He was like a man who found a treasure in a certain field, and He went and sold all He had to go and buy that field.
He saw the treasure of the kingdom of the heavens being in and among men, which is the spreading of Christ as life and the ruling of Christ as King, and He paid the highest price to purchase the earth.
No one has ever died and then been resurrected so that He may purchase the earth, but Christ did. Now the earth with all things and all beings in it belongs to the Lord, for Christ is the rightful owner.
However, Satan is still usurping the people on the earth, and even creation is subject to corruption because of man’s rebellion. Oh Lord Jesus! So the Lord Jesus will one day come to reclaim His right over the earth.
Today He is gaining some overcomers, those who are the beachhead for Him to return with His kingdom and take over the earth.
We believers in Christ should be part of this beachhead who give the Lord the ground in our being, who enthrone Him as the king, and who let Him spread in us and rule in us.
The more we give the Lord the ground in us and allow Him to rule and reign in us, the more we are produced as His overcomers who will return with Christ as the eternal King to possess the earth and bring in the kingdom of God on earth! Hallelujah!
How Jeremiah Enjoyed God’s Lovingkindness, Faithfulness, and His Eternal Being and His Eternal Throne

Christ as God is the eternal King. Amen! We see this not only in Revelation but also throughout the Bible, including in many books of the Old Testament.
In the Old Testament, we have a particular prophet, Jeremiah, who was called the weeping prophet, for he saw the situation among God’s people, he realised their corruption and degradation, and he had God’s word concerning His judgment, so he wept and lamented over God’s people.
He had a lot of human feelings and was very saddened by the condition of the children of Israel. He wept a lot. He even wrote an entire book called, The Lamentations of Jeremiah, and this book is included in the Bible.
In Lamentations 3:22-23, he said, It is Jehovah’s lovingkindness that we are not consumed, for His compassions do not fail; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
Here we see that Jeremiah did not only just weep and lament over the situation of God’s people but even more, as he was reviewing these afflictions, he regretted them, repented for them, and touched something of God’s lovingkindness.
It is not because of Israel’s faithfulness to God that they still existed; it was due to Jehovah’s lovingkindness. He realised that, no matter how much Jehovah punished Israel, He had not utterly consumed them.
Jeremiah and many others remained; this was God’s lovingkindness. He realised that he and the people of Israel were under God’s compassions, and he praised God for His compassions, which do not fail.
The people of Israel failed and continued to fail, but God’s compassions did not fail; it is due to His compassions that a remnant of God’s people was preserved.
These compassions of Jehovah’s did not fail; rather, they are new every morning.
Jeremiah touched something of the newness and freshness of God’s compassions early in the morning. He contacted God as the compassionate One every morning, and it was through his contact with the Lord that he received this word regarding God’s lovingkindness, compassions, and faithfulness.
Thank the Lord that God’s compassions do not fail, for He is the faithful One! God is faithful; we as His people may not be faithful, but God is faithful, and His faithfulness is great.
God has spoken to Israel’s forefathers, and He was faithful to keep His word.
In Zechariah 12 we see that God is faithful to the end; even though at the end of this age, the people of Israel are still in degradation and away from God, Christ will appear to them and they will believe.
When Jerusalem is besieged by Antichrist, the Lord Jesus will turn to the children of Israel and will appear to them. They will look upon Him, the One whom they have pierced, and they will repent (Zech. 12:10).
This is His faithfulness; even when we’re not faithful, He is still faithful.
He is faithful to His people Israel, for when they are constrained and surrounded from every side, for the Antichrist will want to destroy them completely, Christ will appear to them, and they will turn to Him and receive His household salvation. How wonderful!
Jeremiah touched something of God’s lovingkindness and faithfulness.
He realised that, even though God was angry with His people, He would come to restore them.
Jehovah had not utterly rejected Israel, nor was He exceedingly angry with them; but they had to wait for Him until the time of restoration, and He will restore the children of Israel to be in His person and in His eternal kingdom to enjoy what He had promised to their forefathers.
In Lamentations 5:19 we see that Jeremiah touched Christ as God being the eternal King; he said, You, O Jehovah, abide forever; Your throne is from generation to generation.
As Jeremiah was lamenting over the situation and degradation of the children of Israel, he appealed to God’s eternal being and His eternal throne, His unchanging government.
Wow, our God is the eternal King, and He reigns forever and ever; though everything else may change and will change, He abides forever, and His throne is from generation to generation.
This is His eternal throne, His unchanging government. When we touch this, when Jeremiah touched this, he was at peace, for he realised that God is on the throne.
He realised that God’s eternal being and throne are higher than His lovingkindness, compassions, and faithfulness.
May we prayerfully consider Jeremiah’s utterance and writing and may we be before the Lord concerning our situation and experience of these matters, so that we also touch Christ the eternal King, with His eternal throne and unchanging government!
Lord Jesus, we praise You for Your lovingkindness! Amen, it is Jehovah’s lovingkindness that we are not consumed, for His compassions do not fail! Hallelujah, God’s compassions do not fail but rather, they are new every morning. Lord, we come to You. We thank You for Your lovingkindness. Thank You for Your compassions, even Your new and fresh compassions every morning. We praise You for Your faithfulness, which is so great! Oh Lord, You are faithful, even when we are not faithful! Great is Your faithfulness! Though we reject You and rebel against You, You remain faithful. Thank You for being faithful to keep Your word and do in us what You said You will do. We feed on Your faithfulness. Oh Lord, we praise You for being the eternal King! Amen, You Jehovah abide forever, and Your throne is from generation to generation! We praise You, Lord, for Your eternal being and Your eternal throne! We worship You for Your unchanging government! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ who is the eternal King!
Enjoy God’s Lovingkindness and Faithfulness and know Christ as the Eternal King in His Government

Today we live in a situation not too different from Jeremiah’s time, for so many of God’s people are in degradation and in captivity in many places, and Christ is not exalted nor is He worshipped in a proper way on the genuine ground of oneness.
When we look at the situation today, our heart is full of grief, for we realise that God’s house is desolate, His people are in captivity, and not many are seeking the Lord in a genuine way.
We cannot deny that there are millions, even billions of Christians on the earth, and many of them have God’s salvation according to His love (John 3:16) and His grace (Eph. 2:8), but how many know Christ as the eternal king in His government?
How many realise that God’s salvation is a matter of God’s righteousness (Rom. 1:17)?
Many today praise God and enjoy His love and kindness, and they treasure His faithfulness. However, God’s love and grace may change, but God’s righteousness cannot change, because His righteousness is related to His government (Psa. 89:14).
God’s lovingkindness and compassions are there for us every morning, but they can change; however, God’s person and His government remain unchanging forever.
God’s eternal being and HIs throne are higher than His lovingkindness, compassions, and faithfulness.
We need to know and touch Christ as the eternal King, realising that God’s lovingkindness and compassions can fluctuate, but God’s person and His government remain unchanging forever.
God may be gracious to us, but if we disobey Him continually, He may not. However, with His government, which is a matter of His righteousness, He can never change; this is much stronger.
We need to know God’s person and His throne. We need to preach not only the gospel of grace and love, but also the gospel of the kingdom, which never fluctuates.
This relates to our experience very much. Christ is the eternal King in our experience, and when we touch His person, we realise that He can never change in His government and administration.
We change, but He does not change. We fail, but He does not fail.
We see this also in the New Jerusalem, where God will be fully unveiled in His person as the eternal King and in His government as His eternal, unshakable kingdom (Heb. 12:28; Rev. 22:3), both of which are the unshakable foundation of His dealing with His people.
God deals with us not only according to His lovingkindness and based on His faithfulness; He deals with us according to and based on His government, which is based on His righteousness.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. He is righteous, He will be righteous, and He will even make us righteous as He is.
May we go deeper with the Lord day by day, having a deeper opening to Him related to our daily experience of Him.
May we know Him not only according to His lovingkindness and His faithfulness, both of which we treasure and depend on, but even more, know Him as the eternal King who rules forever and ever.
May we see God Himself as the eternal King with His eternal, unshakable foundation. Thank the Lord that there is a throne set in heaven.
We may look at the situation around us and see the lawlessness prevailing around us, the degradation in the church, and the pitiful situation and condition we are in, and we may be discouraged or depressed.
But we need to look away from everything else unto Jesus, who is enthroned in heaven.
We need to turn our eyes from ourselves, our situation, the situation in the church, and the world situation, and simply worship God for being God on the throne!
Lord Jesus, we praise You for being the eternal King who rules in righteousness and based on justice! Amen, Lord, You abide forever, and Your throne is from generation to generation! We worship You not only for Your lovingkindness, compassion, and faithfulness but also for Your very person and Your government! Hallelujah, though God’s lovingkindness and compassion can fluctuate, God’s person and His government remain unchanging forever! Oh Lord, we treasure Your lovingkindness. We enjoy Your compassions which are new and fresh every morning. We feed on Your faithfulness, for You remain faithful even when we are faithless. But above all, we worship You for Your person and Your government, for You are on the throne! We praise You for Your eternal and unshakable kingdom! Amen, Christ as the eternal King and His government are eternal and unshakable, and He will carry out what He desires based on His righteousness! Praise the Lord!

– “Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father, / There is no shadow of turning with Thee; / Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not / As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. / “Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!” / Morning by morning new mercies I see; / All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— / “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me! (Hymns #16, stanza 1 and chorus)
– Lord, the King of kings art Thou, / In Thy presence here we bow; / God’s anointed we adore, / Worship Thee in holy awe. / Unto Thee, of kings the King, / All the saints Thy praises sing! / Thine authority and pow’r / Shall prevail from shore to shore! / All shall serve and worship Thee / In Thy kingly majesty! / Unto Thee, of kings the King, / All Thy praise shall ever ring! (Hymns #148 stanzas 1-2)
– Thou healing sun! Thou hope of man! / I really love Thy ray. / Oh, righteous Lord! oh, glorious King! / I bow to Thee and pray: / Oh, may Thou soon ascend Thy throne / And quickly show Thy face; / Thy heav’nly kingdom may Thou found / And grant all men Thy grace. / The truth should triumph and be king, / And freedom should be queen; / But falsehood, which has rampant run, / Head of the world be seen. / We ask Thee, Truth, to quickly come / And bring Thy light from heav’n; / The foe be crushed and all Thy sons / Into Thy bosom giv’n. (Hymns #960 stanzas 7-8)

Life-study of Lamentations, 2nd ed., pp. 14-15, by Witness Lee
How we thank and praise the Lord for His lovingkindness, His compassions, and His faithfulness!
But we want to go deeper and see Christ as God being the eternal King with His government based on His righteousness, which endures forever. His throne is from generation to generation.
God lovingkindness and compassion remained even when Israel had failed Him. He is the faithful one whose compassions are new every morning. Even deeper is God’s eternal being, eternal throne and unchanging government related to His righteousness.
Although we treasure the Lord’s lovingkindness and compassions which are new every morning, we need to see that while His grace and love may fluctuate, His eternal being and throne, along with His righteousness, remains unchanging.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne and in the New Jerusalem God Himself will be fully unveiled with His eternal, unshakeable Kingdom!
Our sins and failures notwithstanding, God has not consumed us. His Loving-kindness, Compassion, and Faithfulness are New every morning, even this morning! Hallelujah!
May we wait on Him and contact Him daily. He will restore His redeemed ones to be in His person and in His eternal kingdom to enjoy the spiritual promises given to our forefathers!
Yet we need to realise that His compassion and loving-kindness can change.
What cannot change with God is His righteousness – related to His person and Government, and upon which His throne is founded! He abides forever as the Eternal God, and His throne is from generation to generation, Amen!
As a prelude to what will be unveiled in the eternal kingdom New Jerusalem, God will deal with us as the eternal King according to His person and unshakeable Government. May we fall prostrate at His feet, with a subjective kingly fear and reverence for Him! May we enthrone Him subjectively as our judge in all we are and do!
Hallelujah brother, we believers should be the happiest and most positive people on Earth, for our God is ever faithful, ever righteous, compassionate & loving.
Even more, His eternal being and His throne are higher than His lovingkindness, compassions & faithfulness.
God’s person & government remain unchanging forever because His righteousness cannot change.
What can we do but praise & adore our Christ every single day. Amen! Our God reigns.
