God Motivates us to Echo His Heart’s Desire in Prayer to Cooperate with Him for His Purpose

And she made a vow and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if You will indeed look upon the affliction of Your female servant and remember me and not forget Your female servant, but give to Your female servant a male child, then I will give him to Jehovah for all the days of his life, and no razor will come upon his head. 1 Sam. 1:11

Hallelujah, God motivates us to echo His heart’s desire in prayer so that we may cooperate with Him for the fulfillment of His purpose, in the principle of incarnation!

The God who motivated Hannah to pray the prayer that cooperated with God and issued in the bringing forth of Samuel now also works in us, and we can cooperate with Him by praying to be the Hannahs and Samuels of this age, those who remain on the line of life and are Nazarites to Him. Amen!

Christ as the King of glory is on His way back, but He needs some who cooperate with Him; He needs the gates to open and the doors to lift up their heads.

We need to open to Him, be one with Him, answer His call, and expect His return. Christ as the Desire of the nations is coming, but who on earth is expecting Him and where is the stepping stone for His return?

Who will afford Him the cooperation He needs today to change the age and bring in the age of the kingdom?

If we don’t open to Him in an absolute way and allow Him to possess us so that He may pray in us the prayers He needs for us to give Him the best cooperation, we will not contribute to the hastening of His return.

If we do not strive today to arrive at the high peak of God’s eternal economy, how can the Lord gain the reality of the Body of Christ?

There is no other way for us to live in the reality of the Body of Christ except by praying, that is, by persevering in prayer.

We need to persevere in prayer, fighting for our prayer life; when we set a time to pray, the whole world will rise up to hinder our prayer.

May we learn to set aside time to be one with the Lord, giving ourselves to the Lord for Him to produce us as His bride, His overcomers.

The way of prayer seems to be so simple yet it is so important; unless we are the house of prayer that God needs, He cannot obtain what He is after.

When we join ourselves to the Lord to be the praying ones, those who utter His heart’s desire back to Him in prayer, the Lord has a stepping stone for Him to bring in His kingdom.

He needs some like Samuel who brings in the king with the kingdom, but for Samuel to be produced, Hannah needs to come in, those who pray desperately one with Him for His need which becomes their need.

Amen, may we realize that it is the overcomers that the Lord is after, and may we give ourselves to the Lord to be His overcomers today, those who are like Hannah and Samuel, to bring in the king with the kingdom!

How Hannah was on the Line of Life to Cooperate with God in Prayer for His Purpose

And her rival provoked her bitterly to irritate her, because Jehovah had shut up her womb. And so it happened year after year; when she went up to the house of Jehovah, the other provoked her this way; and she wept and would not eat...And she was bitter in soul and prayed to Jehovah and wept much. And she made a vow and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if You will indeed look upon the affliction of Your female servant and remember me and not forget Your female servant, but give to Your female servant a male child, then I will give him to Jehovah for all the days of his life, and no razor will come upon his head. 1 Sam. 1:6-7, 10-11It is so amazing to see the history of Hannah and Samuel, what God did and how Hannah and Samuel cooperated with God for His purpose.

The first book of Samuel shows us in typology the bringing in of Christ as the King (typified by David) with His kingdom.

Under Eli, the old Aaronic priesthood had become stale and waning (1 Sam. 2:12-19), and God desired to have a new beginning for the accomplishing of His eternal economy.

May we pray that we would never become stale but rather, that we would be fresh, living, active, and present with the Lord. We don’t want to be stale Christians; being stale is a terrible thing.

The sons of Eli sinned and the whole people knew, including Eli; though he rebuked his sons, Eli did not do or say anything that was forcefully enough to prevent his sons because they were doing such wicked things.

This is why, in one portion, it says that it pleased Jehovah to kill them; they were so wicked that God was pleased to terminate them.

A man of God came to Eli and exposed the situation he was in, but Eli did not do anything to change this; rather, he didn’t deal with children and didn’t repent for their works.

In 1 Sam. 1:1-20 we see Samuel’s origin; his origin wasn’t just simply from his father, Elkanah but rather, he came out of God’s economy.

God has an eternal economy, but in the age of judges the carrying out of His economy came into question, for those who were supposed to cooperate with Him, Aaron’s descendants, did not do it.

God ordained that the priests would carry out His economy, but the priesthood became stale and waning. So God came in to gain someone who would replace the priesthood and carry out His economy.

He brought together Hannah and Elkanah in marriage; Elkanah had two wives, and God sovereignly arranged that the second wife, Peninnah, would have children while Hannah had none.

And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son; and she called his name Samuel, For, [she said,] I asked for him of Jehovah...And she said, Oh, my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here by you, praying to Jehovah. It was for this child that I prayed, and Jehovah has granted me my request that I requested from Him. Therefore I, for my part, have lent him to Jehovah; all the days that he lives, he is lent to Jehovah. And he worshipped Jehovah there. 1 Sam. 1:20, 26-28Even more, Peninnah was her rival, and she provoked Hannah bitterly to irritate her because Jehovah had shut up her womb (v. 6).

This forced Hannah to pray desperately, and eventually, she prayed not just for her need but even more, for God’s need.

In her prayer, she promised God that if He gave her a male child, she would lend him to Him all the days of his life, and he will be a Nazarite to God.

God was pleased with such a prayer; He operated behind the scenes to cause her to be desperate and utter the prayer that He needed and also that met her need.

God listened to her prayer and opened her womb; she conceived and bore a child and named him Samuel.

No human being was the origin of Samuel; God was the real origin, for He motivated His people sovereignly and secretly for the fulfillment of His purpose.

Hannah and her husband were on the line of life, and they cooperated with God for the fulfillment of His purpose on earth.

Though the entire Israel was in chaos and in degradation, and the priesthood was waning and degraded, God gained some people who cooperated with Him by prayer.

They were on the line of life ordained by God for the fulfillment of His eternal purpose.

He is looking for such ones today, those who remain on the line of life and who are inwardly motivated by Him to utter the prayers that He needs for the fulfillment of His eternal purpose.

Lord Jesus, we give ourselves to You for Your purpose. We acknowledge You as the One in us who motivates us to pray for God’s need and for the fulfillment of His purpose. Amen, Lord, we give ourselves to You to remain on the line of life for the bringing in of the Kingdom of God with the King, Christ! Save us from any degradation. Save us from waning in our living and function. Vitalize us, Lord, and keep us on the line of life. We say Amen, Lord, operate in us and pray in us for Your need, for You to gain what You are after in this age!

God Motivates us to Echo His Heart’s Desire in Prayer to Cooperate with Him for His Purpose

And while she continued praying a long time before Jehovah, Eli watched her mouth. And Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought that she was drunk. And Eli said to her, How long will you be drunk? Put away your wine from you. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord. I am a woman oppressed in spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have been pouring out my soul before Jehovah. Do not take your female servant for a worthless woman; for out of the greatness of my anxiety and provocation I have been speaking all this time. 1 Sam. 1:12-16All around us today we see chaos and degradation; our situation today is so similar to what we see in the days of Hannah and Elkanah.

In the midst of the chaos in society and the degradation in the church in general today, we need to be those who remain on the line of life ordained by God for His purpose.

The Lord desires to gain many like Hannah, those whom He can motivate to pray and echo His heart’s desire in prayer to cooperate with Him for His purpose.

Hannah needed a son, and she was motivated by God to pray not just for her need but also for God’s need.

If she prayed only that she needed a son, that would have been so human, but she was motivated to pray in cooperation with God’s economy for the divine move.

After she prayed such a prayer, it was easy for God to do what He wanted to do, for He had man’s cooperation as the base on which He could move.

The moving God answered Hannah’s prayer to bring forth Samuel, and Samuel was the Nazarite God could use to bring in the king with the kingdom.

Today God is moving in us and is motivating us to pray not only for our need but to echo His heart’s desire in prayer so that we cooperate with Him for His purpose.

He does things in the principle of incarnation; He needs man’s cooperation when He does something.

He wants to carry out His economy and consummate this age, but He needs some who allow Him to motivate them to pray and cooperate with Him.

May we be those who are willing to remain on the line of life today, those who afford Him to have a way on the earth.

As long as He gains a group of people who allow Him to move in and through them in prayer, He can do what is in His heart.

May we be the Hannahs of today, the persons who can bring forth some Samuels to turn this age.

May we not only pour out our heart before the Lord but even more, give ourselves to Him to enjoy Him, listen to Him, and be infused with His heart’s desire, so that we may echo His heart’s desire back to Him for Him to do what He wants to do today.

God could motivate Hannah as a person who was one with Him in the line of life; the line of life is a line that brings forth Christ for the enjoyment of God’s people so that on earth God may have His kingdom, which is the church as the Body of Christ (Matt. 16:18-19; Rom. 14:17-18; Eph. 1:22-23), the very organism of the Triune God; as long as God can gain such a person who is one with Him on the line of life, He has a way on earth (1 Sam. 1:1—2:11, 18-21, 26). Crystallization-study of 1&2 Samuel, outline 2May we offer God the human cooperation with the divine move that He needs for the carrying out of God’s eternal economy.

When we open to God and allow Him to motivate us in this way, He will have a way to come in and produce the Nazarites that He desires, those who are absolute for the fulfilling of His desire.

The Lord Jesus was a Nazarite; Peter and Paul were also Nazarites. Everyone who remains on the line of life is a Nazarite.

If we would be today’s Nazarites, we must take God as our Head and Husband, submit to Him, and having no interest in worldly pleasures.

He is the One who initiates things behind the scene; He may arrange certain things, situations, or persons to bother us and provoke us so that we would be desperate before Him concerning our need and even more, His need.

God operates behind the scenes, and we respond to Him; His need is reflected in our need, and at one point we will pray not only for the meeting of our need but even more, for His need to be met.

In His sovereignty, some people or situations may provoke us, but if we open to the inner motivating God, we will echo His heart’s desire to Him in prayer for the fulfillment of His purpose, and He will be able to do what He wants to do.

May we open to Him in prayer and tell Him,

Lord Jesus, we are here: if there’s anything in Your heart to accomplish for Your purpose, we open to You. We remain on the line of life for the carrying out of Your economy in this age. Amen, Lord, we join ourselves to Your heart’s desire through Your word, and we want to echo what is in Your heart in prayer. Move in us and operate in our being. We open to Your inner motivating and operating. Make Your heart’s desire become our heart’s desire. Gain us and gain so many saints to be those who allow You to motivate them to echo Your heart’s desire in prayer so that You may be able to carry out Your purpose.
