Dear saints, let us pray that the trainees would see and enter into the goal of the training, which is also to reach the high peak of today’s Zion—the overcomers—in today’s Jerusalem—the church (Psa. 48:2; Rev. 14:1; Heb. 12:22; Rev. 2:7; 12:11; Gal. 5:16a).

Zion was the city of King David (2 Sam. 5:7), the center of the city of Jerusalem, where the temple as God’s dwelling place on earth was built (9:11; 74:2; 76:2b; 135:21; Isa. 8:18). Zion within Jerusalem typifies the body of overcomers, the perfected and matured God-men, within the church as the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb. 12:22; Rev. 14:1-5). As the highlight and beauty of the holy city Jerusalem (v. 2; 50:2), Zion typifies the overcomers as the high peak, the center, the uplifting, the strengthening, the enriching, the beauty, and the reality of the church (vv. 2, 11-12; 20:2; 53:6a; 87:2). The overcomers as Zion are the reality of the Body of Christ and consummate the building up of the Body in the local churches to bring in the consummated holy city, New Jerusalem, the Holy of Holies as God’s dwelling place, in eternity (Rev. 21:1-3, 16, 22). In the new heaven and new earth the entire New Jerusalem will become Zion, with all the believers as overcomers (Rev. 21:7 and note 1). Psa. 48:2 – note 1 on, Zion (Recovery Version Bible)

When we through prayer live and walk according to this Spirit (Gal. 5:16, 25; cf. Rom. 8:4), we are spontaneously under the cross, dying all day long to everything other than Christ (2 Cor. 4:10-11, 16). This is to be conformed to the death of Christ by the power of His resurrection (Phil. 3:10). Living in resurrection equals living in the life-giving Spirit, who is the reality of Christ’s resurrection. If we are persons who live in this way, we will daily enjoy Christ, and when we speak, Christ will come out of us to supply others. This supply will produce many results, including helping people to be regenerated, renewed, and transformed. In this way the Body of Christ is built up.

To turn to the mingled spirit is to live the life of a God-man. Jesus Christ was the prototype God-man, and we are the mass reproduction. We need to live not by ourselves but by another life, the life of the processed and consummated Triune God, the pneumatic Christ, and the compound Spirit. This is the living of a God-man. To be sure, if we live such a life, we are overcomers…Such a living makes us today’s Zion as the highest peak of God’s dwelling place on earth (Psa. 48:2; 50:2; 87:2; Heb. 12:22; Rev. 14:1), which will consummate in the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth (21:1—22:5).
