Many wonderful things happened to us when we believed in the Lord: we called on the name of the Lord, we received the divine life, our sins were washed away, we were redeemed, we were reconciled to God, we were regenerated/re-born, we had a new fresh start in our life, we were justified, we became a brand new person, etc.
Besides all these, we were transferred out of so many negative things into God, into all the positive things of what God is. More specifically, today I enjoyed that we were transferred out of the authority of darkness into the kingdom of the Son of God’s love (Col. 1:12-13).
Thank You Father for delivering us out of the authority of darkness! Thank You for transferring us into the kingdom of the Son of Your Love!
The authority of darkness is Satan’s kingdom, Satan’s authority of darkness – which is opposed to God’s kingdom, which is in light and is light. To be delivered out of the authority of darkness is to be delivered from the devil – who has the might of death (Heb. 2:14; John 17:15).
We have been delivered from the devil – Satan – by Christ’s death on the cross (Col. 2:15) and by Christ’s life in His resurrection (John 5:24)! But we were not only delivered – we were transferred! Once we were in darkness, now we are in the kingdom of the Son of the Father’s love!
Here, the Son is our life (He who has the Son has the life, 1 John 5:12), and He rules in us by His life. Christ rules in the divine kingdom in life, and He rules with love – He’s the Son of the Father’s love. When we live by the Son – Christ – as our life in resurrection, we actually are living in His kingdom, enjoying Him in the Father’s love.
On the one hand we are free from the authority of darkness (and are being continually freed), and on the other hand we’re in another realm, under the heavenly ruling and restriction. Here we have the real freedom, the real liberty – a proper freedom in love, with Life, and under Light!
Thank You Lord for delivering us OUT OF the authority of darkness and You transferred us INTO the kingdom of the Son of Your love!
