Experience and Enjoy Christ as the Lion-Lamb Fighting for God’s Kingdom & Redeeming us

And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having just been slain...Rev. 5:6

Christ is the Lion-Lamb who is worthy to open the scroll of God’s economy and unlock the seals; He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah to fight against the enemy and destroy him, and He is the Lamb of God to redeem us, and today He is still standing in His ascension to carry out God’s administration!

Lord Jesus, we praise You as the Lion-Lamb! You are worthy! Amen, worthy is the Lamb who has been slain to receive power and glory and honor! Praise the Lord! You are the Lion of the tribe of Judah to slay the enemy and destroy anything negative! Amen, Lord, You are the redeeming Lamb of God who accomplished redemption for us! We open to You today! We are one with You today! We praise You! Amen, Lord, have a full way to accomplish Your economy in us and through us! Amen!

Our focus in our Christian life should be Christ; even though we go through so many things, even though we have so many problems, and even though it may see that we don’t improve in our condition, we still need to focus on Christ.

The book of Revelation in particular has so many things in it, including the Antichrist, the beast, locusts, judgments, seven Spirits, the dragon, and so many other things; however, this entire book is the revelation of Jesus Christ and what He is doing today until the consummation of the age and even until eternity.

This revelation of Jesus Christ for the testimony of Jesus is made known to us by signs; in order for us to see Christ in all things, in order for us to see something of God’s economy, the end of the age, and the New Jerusalem, we need to be in our spirit.

When we are in spirit and come to the Lord’s word, we see what He sees, we are washed by the water in the Word, we are sanctified, and we are produced to be the Lord’s overcomers today.

We are becoming part of the bride of Christ who is pure and spotless, having no blemish or spot or any such things. We are becoming the New Jerusalem!

The book of Revelation is profound, and many great and important matters are unveiled in this book; it is difficult for man to speak exhaustively of them in plain words because of their profundity.

But praise the Lord, we have the Lord’s shining, we have the word of God in our hands, we have the footnotes in the Recovery Version Bible, and we have the ministry of the age.

May we have much prayerful consideration before the Lord concerning Christ as the Lion-Lamb, the One who is revealed in the book of Revelation! Amen!

Experience and Enjoy Christ as the Lion-Lamb: He Destroys God’s Enemy and Redeems Us

...the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so that He may open the scroll and its seven seals. And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having just been slain... Rev. 5:5-6

In chapter 5 of Revelation we see how John was called to heaven to see something, and immediately he was in spirit; when he was in spirit, he saw an amazing scene in heaven. One of the elders told him not to weep, for he was weeping when he saw that no one was found to open the scroll; the Lion of the tribe of Judah is worthy to open the scroll!

When John turned to see this Lion, he saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having just been slain (Rev. 5:5-6). Wow!

This is the scene in the heavens after Christ ascended there. It is amazing to see a window into what happened after Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension; John saw the scene of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, who is a Lamb freshly slain.

The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street. Rev. 22:1When we turn to our spirit, when we exercise our spirit to be in spirit and touch the throne, we see Christ as the Lion-Lamb. He is both the Lion and the Lamb.

He is recommended to be the Lion of the tribe of Judah, but when we look at Him, he is the Lamb of God slain for us.

In Revelation 5:1 all the way through 6:1, we see Christ as the Lion-Lamb in the midst of the throne of God and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the twenty-four elders of the universe; as such a One, He is opening the seven seals of God’s universal administration. What a Christ we have!

Toward the enemy, Christ is the Lion, ready to destroy the enemy and fight against his viles. Toward us, the redeemed ones, He is our dear, precious Lamb (John 1:29). He is not only the Lion but also the Lamb.

Christ is the Lion-Lamb – He is the Lamb accomplishing God’s redemption and the Lion fighting for God’s kingdom.

This is our Christ today. He fought to redeem us, and He won the battle over the enemy and accomplished redemption for us. For God’s redemption, Christ is a Lamb; for God’s kingdom, He is a fighting Lion.

When John the Baptist saw Him in John 1:29, he exclaimed, Behold, the Lamb of God; when He was introduced to John in Revelation 5:5, one of the elders said, Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

God became man, for He was incarnated in the Lord Jesus Christ; Christ came in the flesh as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world.

On the one hand, He is the lamb without spot or wrinkle, the pure and worthy Lamb, even the Lamb that did not open His mouth before those who put Him to death. On the other hand, while being the Lamb of God, he is also the Lion fighting the enemy to destroy him.

To Satan, God’s enemy, Christ is a Lion; to us, those redeemed and regenerated by God, He is a Lamb; hence, He is the Lion-Lamb.

We need to experience and enjoy Christ as the Lion-Lamb today in our Christian life. He deals with sin and Satan; in our daily living, we are troubled by sin and Satan very much.

But praise the Lord, we have Christ as the Lion to destroy the enemy and as the Lamb to redeem us. His blood was shed for our redemption, and today we can apply His precious blood; as we do this, our sins are cleansed and washed.

We can also be one with Him and stand with Him as He destroys the devil, for He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah toward the enemy.

Thank the Lord that, as the Lamb, He has accomplished redemption for us, having cleansed us from our sins. And praise Him that, as the Lion, He has dealt with Satan!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9He met our need and solved our problems; He also meets God’s need and solves His problems. In God’s eyes, Satan has been terminated, sin is over, and we have been redeemed and rescued from the usurping hand of the enemy.

This is not only initially when we believe into the Lord; even today, we are bothered by many negative things.

There are still so many negative things in us, and we need and should experience and enjoy Christ as the Lion-Lamb to both deal with these negative things and be brought back to God in fellowship under the covering of the blood.

We have been redeemed, but we are still mixed with negative things.

Sometimes we have to admit that there are things coming out of the abyss in our being; when we see this, when we realise that there are all these negative things, we need to simply exercise our spirit to experience and enjoy Christ as the Lion-Lamb.

He will destroy the enemy and anything negative coming from him, and He will apply His precious blood for us to be cleansed, washed, and restored into the fellowship (1 John 1:7, 9).

He is the Lamb of God forever, for even in the New Jerusalem, we see Christ as the Lamb on the throne. Praise the Lord for being the Lion-Lamb!

Lord Jesus, grant us to see a vision of Christ as the Lion-Lamb. May we be those who experience and enjoy Christ as the Lion-Lamb today. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. Thank You for coming in the flesh to accomplish an all-inclusive redemption. We love You as the Lamb of God, so meek and humble, so perfect and upright, and so eager to shed Your blood for us. We believe into You and we apply Your precious blood. Thank You for Your wonderful redemption! Amen, Lord, we thank You also for being the Lion of the tribe of Judah to fight against the enemy and destroy him! Amen, Lord, we open to You for You to destroy any work of the devil in our being. We come to You to experience and enjoy You being the Lion who destroys and terminates anything negative, anything of the enemy that is in our being! Hallelujah for Christ as the Lion-Lamb! May we enjoy and experience You as such a One today!

Christ has Accomplished Redemption and He is Carrying out God’s Administration – He’s the Lion-Lamb!

...having made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Heb. 1:3 But this One, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down forever on the right hand of God. Heb. 10:12

As far as redemption is concerned, Christ accomplished redemption once for all, and He sat down at the right hand of God in the heavens after His ascension (Heb. 1:3; 10:12).

Praise the Lord, redemption has been accomplished, we have been redeemed, and Christ finished the wonderful work of redemption!

Hallelujah, He is now sitting at the right hand of God, having accomplished redemption! How we thank and praise the Lord for the redemption accomplished by Christ once and for all!

We don’t need Him to die again for us; He died once for sins, and we now can apply His redemption by faith with the exercise of our spirit, for redemption has been accomplished!

The perfect Lamb of God has died for us, the righteous on behalf of the unrighteous, and now we have an eternal redemption, which is eternally effective and can be applied by us at any time! Praise the Lord!

Regarding the carrying out of God’s administration, Christ is still standing in His ascension.

On the one hand, Christ has made purification for sins and has sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Having offered one sacrifice for sins, He sat down.

However, in Revelation 5:5 we are told that the Lamb is not sitting but standing; He is standing as the Lion-Lamb to accomplish God’s economy and carry out God’s administration.

Our Christ is so wonderful; He is on the one hand, sitting at the right hand of God, having accomplished redemption as the Lamb of God, and He is also standing as the Lion-Lamb to carry out God’s administration.

When Stephen saw Him in Acts 7, as he was being stoned to death, Christ was standing; He is still standing at the right hand of God. Christ passed through death, resurrection, and ascension, and now He is standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures.

Right now there’s a resurrected Lamb standing before the throne in heaven. The Lion-Lamb is standing and His eyes are flashing; His work is not yet finished.

The work of redemption is finished, but the carrying out of God’s administration is not yet finished.

Having just been slain indicates that the Lamb had just been slain and also that the scene in the heavens that is depicted in Revelation 5 took place immediately after Christ’s ascension into the heavens. We need to see a vision of this Christ today.

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea and all things in them, I heard saying, To Him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing and the honor and the glory and the might forever and ever. Rev. 5:13When we say that Christ is all-inclusive, we really mean that He is all-inclusive and extensive, and there’s no way to exhaust the riches of His being, what He has done, what is doing, and what He will be doing.

In Revelation 5, we see a vision of Christ as the Lion-Lamb who is standing. He is carrying out God’s administration.

The fact that He is standing before the throne indicates that our Redeemer is in God’s administration; He is the Administrator of the universe, and He executes God’s economy.

On the positive and organic side, Christ has redeemed us and is now regenerating us, transforming us, sanctifying us, renewing us, conforming us to His image, building us up, and glorifying us to make us the same as He is in every possible way so that together we may be the Body of Christ, the bride of Christ, the new man, and the armies of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem.

On the negative side, Christ as the Lion-Lamb is the Administrator of the universe, carrying out God’s eternal economy and administrating the whole world situation, even pouring out God’s judgment on the enemy and on all his works.

Christ as the Lion-Lamb is standing in the centre of the universe with seven flashing, burning eyes. He saves us from our silence, coldness, and laziness. He is intensifying His organic salvation to make us His overcomers.

And He is carrying out God’s administration to bring in the end of the age, the kingdom of God, and the New Jerusalem for eternity! Praise the Lord (Rev. 5:13)!

Lord Jesus, praise You for the wonderful redemption You accomplished for us! Hallelujah, Christ accomplished a perfect and all-inclusive redemption on the cross as the Lamb of God! Praise the Lord, Christ has made purification for our sins and has sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high! Hallelujah for Christ as the redeeming Lamb of God! Amen, Lord, we praise You for still standing before the throne of God as the Lion-Lamb! Wow, Christ today is still standing in His ascension to carry out God’s administration! Amen, Lord, You are still saving us organically to the uttermost. Thank You for arranging all things in our life for our good, for us to be conformed to Your image. We praise You for being the Lion-Lamb, the Administrator of the universe, to carry out God’s economy! Amen, to Him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing and the honour and the glory and the might forever and ever! Amen! Praise the Lord Jesus, the Lion-Lamb!

If we love the Lord, He is the Lamb to us, but to those who do not love Him, He is the Lion. He is the Lamb to us and the Lion to the enemy, the world, and the sinful things. Since we do love Him and He is the Lamb to us, why must He also be a Lion? This is because there are still many negative things in us. He died on the cross as the Lamb of God to redeem us, but even after being redeemed, we are still mixed with many negative things. Therefore, He must also be the Lion to deal with these things.

The vision in Rev 5 reveals that our Christ became a Lion-Lamb after His resurrection & ascension.

Two thousand years ago, He came as the Lamb of God to deal with our sinfulness.

Now, He is still the Lamb to those who love Him, but He is also the Lion who overcomes & defeats our silence, coldness, & laziness.

Christ is also the Lion to Satan, the world, and the sinful things.

In the next age, He will be a Lamb who cleanses & renews, and also a mighty Lion to all the negative things.

Our Christ is now the Lion-Lamb. What a vision!

DAY 2
Morning Nourishment

Rev. 5:6-7 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having just been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sits upon the throne.

Praise the Lord!

As the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Christ overcame and defeated the rebellious Satan, the enemy of God, and as the redeeming Lamb, He took away the sin of fallen man. By so doing, He removed the hindrances to the fulfillment of God’s purpose. Therefore, He is worthy to open the scroll concerning God’s economy. Rev. 5:5 footnote 3 on, overcome.

In ch. 4 is the scene in the heavens, its center being the throne of God, on which God sits, ready to execute His universal administration for the fulfillment of His eternal purpose. Here in ch. 5 is the same scene in the heavens after Christ ascended there. He was recommended to the apostle John as the Lion of the tribe of Judah by one of the elders, but He appeared to John as a Lamb. As the Lion, He is the Fighter against the enemy; as the Lamb, He is the Redeemer for us. He fought to redeem us, and He won the battle over the enemy and accomplished redemption for us. To the enemy He is a Lion; to us He is a Lamb. Hence, He is the Lion-Lamb. Rev. 5:6 footnote 1 on, Lamb.

As far as redemption is concerned, Christ sat down at the right hand of God in the heavens after His ascension (Heb. 1:3; 10:12), whereas regarding the carrying out of God’s administration, He is still standing in His ascension. Rev. 5:6 footnote 2 on, standing.

Having just been slain indicates that the Lamb had just been slain and also that the scene in the heavens that is depicted in this chapter took place immediately after Christ’s ascension into the heavens. Rev. 5:6 footnote 3 on, having.
