As believers in Christ who love the Lord and want to remain in the flow of life, we need to practice submitting ourselves to the throne of the Lord in our spirit, for when we do this, there’s a river of water of life flowing to quench our thirst, we see the Lord’s face, we serve Him, and we reign in life as kings with Christ.
Lord Jesus, we open to You today. Set up Your throne in the centre of our being. We submit ourselves to You. We come to You, dear Lord, and we want to enjoy You. We want to partake of all Your riches. We remain under the throne and we receive the water of life. Oh, the river of water of life is flowing and the tree of life is so available when we remain under the throne! May the throne of God be the centre of our being today!
We believers in Christ need to be a little New Jerusalem, having the spiritual reality of what we see in the city of New Jerusalem, real in our being.
We should not be like Mount Sinai, having the law and being filled with smoke and lightning, judging those around us and no one being able to touch us.
Rather, we should enjoy the river of water of life, eat the tree of life, enthrone Christ as king and Lord, and be transformed and built up together to be part of the building work of the wall.
Every believer should be a little New Jerusalem, and every local church should be a miniature of the New Jerusalem.
All the aspects, features, and characteristics of the New Jerusalem should be ours as personal members of the Body of Christ, and they should be the features and characteristics of every local church on this earth.
May we pray to the Lord to make us a little New Jerusalem today, living out and working out the New Jerusalem, so that in the next age we may enter into the foretaste of the New Jerusalem, the manifestation of the kingdom!
May our daily living be in the enjoyment of Christ, under the throne of God, and in the flow of the living water. May we live out and also work out the New Jerusalem.
To live out the New Jerusalem is to become the New Jerusalem, and to work out the New Jerusalem is to build the New Jerusalem.
The New Jerusalem is a corporate person. The holy city which we are becoming is not something physical or outward; it is a corporate person, a great God-man. The New Jerusalem is the processed Triune God married to the transformed tripartite man.
The New Jerusalem is the Spirit and the bride becoming one. It is divinity and humanity mingled together to be one entity. Wow!
May we live in the reality of this mingling today so that we may live out and work out the New Jerusalem!
Practice Submitting to the Throne of God in our Spirit to have the Throne as the Centre of our Christian Life

In the centre of the universe there’s the throne of God, and God and the Lamb are sitting on it. It is not a love seat but a throne, and God in Christ is ruling on the throne.
The way God rules is by His flowing, for out of the throne of God and of the Lamb flows a river of water of life (Rev. 22:1). For us to have the river of water of life flowing in our being, however, we need to enthrone the Lord in our being.
When the throne is not present in us, when the Lord is not the Lord and the Head in us, there is no source for the flow of life, and there’s no river of water of life flowing. Oh Lord!
Many times, we have the feeling of being dry or even dried up; this is because there’s no throne set up in our being. We need to practice submitting to the throne of God in our spirit.
The throne is in our spirit. We need to come forward to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace for timely help (Heb. 4:16). Day by day we come to the Lord to submit under His throne.
We accept and recognise the lordship, the headship, and the authority of the Triune God in the very centre of our being. Without the throne of God set up in the centre of our being, there’s no flow of living water.
If there’s no throne in the New Jerusalem, the whole city would be dried up and even starve to death.
But because there’s the throne of God in the centre of New Jerusalem, the water of life flows out of the throne, and the tree of life grows on the two sides of the river of water of life as a vine producing timely fruits for God’s redeemed for eternity.
Both the river of life and the tree of life issue from the throne. How can we have the river of water of life flowing in us? We need to practice submitting to the throne of God in our spirit.
Whenever we turn to our spirit, we touch the throne. We should not try to do this or that to please the Lord, nor should we try to work for God in ourselves without touching the throne.
Instead of trying so hard, we should turn to our spirit to touch the throne. In our speaking with our spouse and in dealing with our children, there must be an inner throne ruling over us and regulating us.
We have to practice submitting ourselves to the inner throne. Every believer in Christ has the throne of God and of the Lamb set up in the centre of his being, and this throne needs to become the centre of his Christian life.
The reason we do not go to certain places, we do not say certain things, we are not involved in certain activities, and we do not do certain things is because there’s a throne in our being.
The throne of God and of the Lamb should be prevailing in the centre of our being. When we do our work at the office or wherever we go, there must be a throne in our being.
When we are at home, in speaking to our neighbours and taking care of the things around the house, we need to practice submitting to the throne of God in our spirit.
This doesn’t mean that we are afraid to do certain things or say some things because God will discipline us if we do; rather, we come to the throne of grace day by day, and we enjoy the Lord, and at the same time, we practice submitting ourselves to His throne.
We are in the kingdom of the Son of God’s love (Col. 1:12-13), and here we enjoy the Lord’s loving rule over us. Most times, His answer to us is NO, don’t do that, don’t say that, and stop doing this.
As we heed the Lord’s inner ruling and reigning, we enjoy the flow of life, and we are richly supplied with the tree of life.
Lord Jesus, set up Your throne in the centre of our being. We love You and we open to You. We welcome You and we enthrone You. Oh Lord Jesus, we love to call on Your name and to enjoy You. You are so lovely. You are so rich. We love to drink the river of water of life flowing out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Amen, Lord, flow in our inner being. May there be a rich flow of life in us today! We turn to You, Lord, and we practice submitting ourselves to the throne in our spirit. Amen, Lord, there’s a throne set up in our spirit, in the centre of our being, and on the throne there is One sitting, God in Christ! May we not ignore or disobey the throne. May we go along with the decisions and speaking of the throne so that we may have a river of water of life flowing in our inner being. Oh Lord, rule over us from within. Rule over our temper, our speaking to others, and our doing things. May the throne of God be at the centre of our Christian life today!
As we Enthrone Christ, we Drink the Living Water, Eat the Tree of Life, Serve God, and Reign in Life by Sharing in His Authority

The fact that the river of water of life with the tree of life comes out of the throne of God in the middle of the city of New Jerusalem shows us that the Triune God wants to dispense Himself into us, His redeemed, for eternity.
This is how He brings us and keeps us under His headship, and this is how we are richly supplied. We need to realise, however, that there’s another throne.
To the church in Pergamos the Lord says, I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is (Rev. 2:13). Satan also has a throne.
He was the most honourable archangel, even the most beautiful angel in the universe, having many awesome responsibilities and being the morning star, yet he said, I will ascend to the throne (Isa. 14).
He wanted to be like God, even to dethrone God. At that point, there was another will in the universe: not only God’s will but also Satan’s will. Now there is a war between God’s will and Satan’s will, God’s throne and Satan’s throne.
May we say no to the foe and may we say yes to the Lord and His throne. If we don’t practice submitting to the throne of God in our spirit, we are automatically under the throne of Satan, for we are fallen in our being.
The throne of Satan is rebellion, self-exaltation, and rejection of the rule of God. It is to dethrone God.
Satan sinned by rebelling against God (Ezek. 28:15-18). He is the first sinner, for he was lifted up in his heart because of his beauty.
May we beware of pride. Pride is in each one of us. Pride lurks in the depths of our being, waiting for the right opportunity to rise up. May the Lord save us from having a superiority complex and a haughty spirit.
May we practice submitting ourselves to the throne of God in our spirit. If we think we are something we are not, we are deceiving ourselves (Gal. 6:3). We are nothing, but we are under God’s throne.
We enthrone the Lord in our being. As we enthrone the Lord, He flows in us. As He flows in us, we drink the living water and we eat the tree of life (Rev. 22:2-3). We also serve Him and see His face (v. 4).
As we drink the water of life, we are richly supplied and our thirst is quenched, and as we eat the tree of life, we are reconstituted with Christ, depending on Him for everything.
In this way, by enthroning Christ, drinking Him and eating Him, we serve God. We should not think that we can serve God because we know what to do or because there’s a need.
We should simply eat and drink Him. God does not want us or need us to do things for Him. He’s not after people who would do His work; He is after people who would eat and drink Him, enthroning Him in the centre of their being.
God needs us to eat Him. He needs us to drink Him. He needs us to enjoy Him. We may want to be a missionary or preach the gospel on the street, but we should not just go ahead and do it but rather, we need to eat and drink Christ first!
We first enthrone the Lord, eat Him, and drink Him, and then He will lead us to serve Him. As we receive Him as our Head by enthroning Him in our heart, we see the Lord’s face and we serve Him. He empowers us. He leads us. He is our energy for our service.
Once we put the Lord on the throne, immediately the living water flows and the tree of life grows, and we have something to eat and to drink.
We are saved from rebellion. Lawlessness is exposed and removed from us. We confess our sins, we drink the Lord and eat Him. In this flow of living water from the throne, we serve the Lord and we see His face.
Also, we rule as kings (Rev. 22:5). Not only do we enjoy the Lord, see His face continually, and serve Him, but we also rule and reign with Him.
Wherever we go, whatever we do, we need to be under the throne. If the Lord leads us to go preach the gospel, we need to practice submitting ourselves under the throne of God, and this is how we preach.
If the Lord leads us to shepherd someone or just rest, in all things, we simply need to remain under the throne of God and of the Lamb. Our going will be His going.
The Lord Jesus said that all authority had been given to Him in heaven an don earth, and He sent us with His authority to disciple all the nations (Matt. 28:18-19).
We go with the authority of the heavenly King who is enthroned in our being. He is on the throne in the centre of our being, and as we remain under His authority, we go with His authority.
This is how we have power and impact in preaching the gospel: by having the One who is the Lord of all, the Head of the entire universe, enthroned in the centre of our being.
May we practice this every day. May we remain under the throne every day!
Lord Jesus, we want to practice enthroning You in the centre of our being every day. Amen, Lord, we submit ourselves to Your lordship and headship today. We receive You as our Head and as our Lord. We enthrone You in our heart. You are on the throne, Lord, and we are under Your throne. Hallelujah, as we enthrone Christ, there’s a river of water of life flowing from the throne! Praise the Lord, there’s a tree growing along the river of water of life! Feed us, Lord Jesus, and give us to drink as we enthrone You in our being. Lead us where to go and what to do. We don’t want to do anything apart from You. We depend on You. Oh Lord, we love to be here, beholding You face to face. We love being in Your presence, seeing Your face, and serving You! Hallelujah, as we enthrone Christ in our being, we reign as kings, for we reign forever and ever one with Christ! Amen, Lord, may there be a throne in the centre of our being. May Christ be on the throne today! We submit ourselves to You and we take You as our Lord and king! Amen!

- Hymns on this topic:
– I come before Thy throne of grace / With hungry heart on Thee to feed, / Thy grace and mercy to receive / To help me in this hour of need. / Here I behold Thy radiant face, / Its light upon my heart doth shine / With healing rays consuming all / The weaknesses and faults of mine. (Hymns #813 stanzas 1-2)
– Shining One—how clear the sky above me! / Son of Man, I see Thee on the throne! / Holy One, the flames of God consume me, / Till my being glows with Thee alone. / Lord, when first I saw Thee in Thy splendor, / All self-love and glory sank in shame; / Now my heart its love and praises render, / Tasting all the sweetness of Thy name. (Hymns #1159 stanza 2)
– There is a stream which issues forth / From God’s eternal throne / And from the Lamb, a living stream, / Clear as the crystal stone. / In it doth grow the tree of life, / It makes the ransomed sing: / Its living draught revives the heart; / Hence all the joys do spring. (Hymns #983 stanza 1)

Amen, brother. We need to practice submitting ourselves to the throne of God in our spirit in all things throughout the day.
When Christ is on the throne, we have the living water flowing in us, the tree of life nourishing us, we see God’s face, we serve Him, and we reign with Him.
Amen brother. God is love and His reign is in love, righteousness and holiness. We need Him to live this Christian life
Lord take away our rebellion by taking You as our medicine
In our Christian life and in our daily life the throne of God and the Lamb should be prevailing in the center of our being! When we enthrone the Lord, the water of life will supply us with the tree of life to nourish us all day long! Hallelujah!
Praise Him, from this flow we enjoy the supply of life and way of life to serve Him, see Him and reign with Him.
amen praise the lord we need his mercy
Amen Lord rule and reign in us may we enthrone You in our being so that we can enjoy as the river of water of life and eat you as the tree of life!
Praise the Lord for a new day to take Christ as our Lord and Head!
As we eat Him, drink Him and enjoy Him we enthrone Him at the centre of our being and there is the flow of the divine life in us!
God does not want us to do anything for Him but to be one with Him as our Lord and King that even in our talk with our spouse and children, He is on the throne and we have the divine life flowing in us!
Praise the Lord, Lord Jesus we love you! Keep us obeying your statutes and commandments and listening to your voice daily so we may be fine-tuned to be your overcomers today!
Thank you, dear brother, for this wonderful portion. Peace be yours
We need the throne at the centre of all decisions so we can eat and drink of the flow of the river and tree of life.
He does not need us to do anything for Him but eat of Him, drink of Him and enjoy Him. When we enjoy Him, we serve Him, see Him and reign with Him
What can I say except “Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!”
Whenever we have the throne, we have His presence, we have the water of life, and the Tree of life.
And when we exercise our spirit, we are at the throne.
Ameeen!!!
Amen.
I enjoyed that he doesn’t care about us doing work for him.
He can do everything for Himself, and He does not need us.
He needs us only to eat and drink him. So we can see his face and be in the flow.
The Throne in Rev. is the centre of the New Jerusalem, representing the Lordship, Headship & Authority of the Triune God therein.
Out of the throne issues the flow of the river of water of life, the Tree of life growing to produce its fruits for God’s redeemed for eternity! We need to realise that without the Throne, there is no life!
Oh, how we need to apply the throne as the centre of our being in our daily living and service, in every instance and in every small thing!
“Lord, I receive You as my Head…I enthrone You in my heart. I put You on Your Throne!”
Without the flow at the centre of our being there can be no flow of life. The water of life flows out of the throne, and the tree of life grows in the water of life.
The Lord cannot eat or drink Himself. He depends on us to eat & drink Him.
Once we put Christ on His throne, the water flows and the tree grows.
It’s in the flow of life that we are able to serve God, see His face, and reign as kings. Amen!
Stay in the flow, brother, by enthroning Him.
