Like the Apostle Paul, We’re Entrusted with the Gospel of the Glory of the Blessed God

This week I was really impressed regarding the gospel, both concerning our need to preach the gospel and concerning the gospel itself being a full and complete gospel. I grew up in a Christian family and so I heard the gospel being preached many times, and I knew like most Christians that Jesus died for […]

Preaching the Complete Gospel from Forgiveness of Sins to Living in the Body of Christ

Knowing merely that the gospel is the glad tidings saying that man has to repent and believe in Jesus to be saved from perdition – this is inadequate according to the standard set in the New Testament. The gospel as revealed in the New Testament is not a low or diluted gospel but it is […]

Paul’s Gospel concerns Christ as the Spirit Living in us and the Body of Christ

The Bible is the complete divinely inspired word of God, His letter written to us with the help of men who were borne of the Holy Spirit, and every book in the Bible is God’s speaking, focusing on God’s economy, His eternal plan. In His sovereignty, God has allowed certain books to be in the […]

Aspects of the Gospel as seen in the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Paul

The gospel that Paul preached was the gospel of completion: he was entrusted by God with the commission of completing the word of God, and the gospel he received was not from men but given to him by revelation of Jesus Christ. The center of the gospel of Paul is God Himself in His Trinity […]

Gospel is the Proclamation of Jesus Christ according to the Revelation of the Mystery

The book of Romans – the gospel of Paul – shows us the gospel of God, the proclamation of Jesus Christ, which is to make sinners sons of God to constitute the Body of Christ, which is expressed as the local churches. The gospel that Paul preached was not a low gospel, and he didn’t […]

Having a Clear View of Paul’s Gospel – the Gospel according to Paul in Romans

As believers in Christ we need to enter into the contents and essence of the Gospel; we need to know what the gospel is, and through such an entering in, we would receive a commission to preach the gospel. Many people know that there are four gospels, but not many know that Paul has a […]

The Center of Paul’s Gospel – Romans chapter 8, God’s dispensing, and the sonship

The center of Paul’s gospel is Romans chapter 8. Here he unveils the dispensing of the Triune God as life into the tripartite man. This is the focus of God’s economy: God coming into us to be our life so that we may be His corporate expression. This is experiential. The law of the Spirit of life (v. 2) is the Triune God operating in us. He first makes our spirit life (v. 10) then spreads to make our mind life (v. 6), then to impart life to our mortal body (v. 11) and to enable us to put to death all our natural living (v. 13). By this spreading of life within, we mature from children (v. 16) to sons (read more in 8:14, note 3). The goal of this expanding dispensation is our conformation to the image of God’s firstborn Son (v. 29). Lord, daily spread Yourself in our entire being until we fully express You.
