God’s Work needs Man’s Cooperation, not his Initiation, Opinions, and Suggestions

August 4, 2017 by aGodMan 9 Comments

Once a person has the heart to serve the Lord and becomes zealous, his opinions come out. At such a time, God will hide Himself and withdraw His will. Everything we initiate will be interrupted by God. In the matter of serving God, we must stop ourselves in order to give God the absolute opportunity to speak. This requires our exercise. Witness Lee, Knowing Life and the Church, ch. 17

According to what the Bible tells us concerning our service to God, God’s work needs man’s cooperation, but it doesn’t require man’s initiation; God wants us to serve Him and love Him, but He doesn’t need us to initiate things in God’s work. Both in the Old and in the New Testament we see many […]

The Need for a Thorough Recovery of the Priesthood for God’s Building through us

July 25, 2015 by aGodMan 1 Comment

As we work for God today, we should participate in God’s building — the constitution of the divine element into the human element and of the human element into the divine element.

As believers in Christ we are members of the Body of Christ, and we have the privilege and responsibility to be one with Christ, the Head of the Body to build up the church as the Body of Christ. The Lord today is building up His church by building Himself into us, His believers, through […]

Doing God’s Work by His Power (not our power) and For His Glory (not our glory)

Doing God's Work by His Power (not our power) and For His Glory (not our glory) [picture: Mt. Whitney, in Montana, USA]

In working for God and in doing anything for God’s interest on earth we need to allow God to be the initiator, we need to work by His power, and all the glory needs to be His. Even when God initiates something and we join in to work together with Him, our work and the […]

Knowing Others Not According to the Flesh but According to the Spirit

Knowing Others Not According to the Flesh but According to the Spirit

The ambassadors of Christ are those who don’t live by their human life but by the divine immortal life in their spirit, and they have the ambition to please God by living to Him and no longer to themselves. Another qualification of an ambassador of Christ is that he no longer knows people according to […]

Working for God by the Spirit by Being Filled Inwardly and Clothed Outwardly

November 28, 2012 by aGodMan 1 Comment

Working for God by the Spirit by Being Filled Inwardly and Clothed Outwardly. Every believer in Christ should experience both aspects of the Spirit!

The unique work God is doing today and the unique work in the Lord’s recovery is a work in ascension, by the Spirit, and in the divine stream. We have seen that for us to work one with God in what He is doing today we need to be in ascension, that is, in our […]

Being One with Christ in His Heavenly Ministry by Being in Ascension Today

Being One with Christ in His Heavenly Ministry by Being in Ascension Today

We have seen that the Triune God has a unique work, and if we would work for God and with God we simply need to join in God’s unique work, and His work must be our work. Also, last week we saw that the Lord Jesus is our pattern in working for God, and His work […]

In His Human Living Christ Did the Work of Declaring God and Expressing Him

November 20, 2012 by aGodMan 1 Comment

We also live, but not us - Christ lives in us; and the life we live in the flesh, we live in the organic union with God (Gal. 2:20).

When He was on the earth, the Lord Jesus declared God in His human living. His work was to declare God, express God, and explain God to man. No one has ever seen God except the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father – and He has declared the Father to […]
