God’s Work needs Man’s Cooperation, not his Initiation, Opinions, and Suggestions

August 4, 2017 by aGodMan 9 Comments

Once a person has the heart to serve the Lord and becomes zealous, his opinions come out. At such a time, God will hide Himself and withdraw His will. Everything we initiate will be interrupted by God. In the matter of serving God, we must stop ourselves in order to give God the absolute opportunity to speak. This requires our exercise. Witness Lee, Knowing Life and the Church, ch. 17

According to what the Bible tells us concerning our service to God, God’s work needs man’s cooperation, but it doesn’t require man’s initiation; God wants us to serve Him and love Him, but He doesn’t need us to initiate things in God’s work. Both in the Old and in the New Testament we see many […]

Turning our Heart to the Lord and Coming to the Word with the Lord to Receive Light

August 3, 2017 by Guest God-man Blogger 3 Comments

Lord Jesus I turn my heart to You right now!

My experience of morning revival has been helped the most with this simple prayer, “Lord Jesus I turn my heart to You right now.” I have a real need to start my time with the Lord each morning with this prayer. This prayer simplifies my coming to Him and opens me to receive what He […]

Loving God, Stopping ourselves, and Waiting on Him to Cooperate with God in Serving Him

August 3, 2017 by aGodMan 10 Comments

2 Sam. 7:5, 11-13 Go and say to My servant David, Thus says Jehovah, Is it you who will build Me a house for Me to dwell in?....Jehovah declares to you that Jehovah will make you a house....I will raise up your seed after you....It is he who will build a house for My name...

After reading the story of David desiring to build God a house in 2 Sam. 7 we realize that God doesn’t want our initiation but only our cooperation; He wants us to cooperate with Him. God doesn’t need us to do anything for Him – He simply wants us to stop our opinions and ideas […]

I Confess my sins, Pray the Word, Read the Morning Revival, and Share with Someone

Heb. 9:14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

To begin with, my goal in having a time with the Lord every morning is to touch the Lord. This is always my focus – I must touch Him, I must enjoy His sweet presence and receive His dispensing into my being. I normally begin with confession of my sins, laying my hands upon Him, […]

We need to Serve God according to God’s Appearing, His Command, and His Instructions

Gen. 12:1, 7 Now Jehovah said to Abram, Go from your land And from your relatives And from your father's house To the land that I will show you....And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said, To your seed I will give this land. And there he built an altar to Jehovah who had appeared to him.

As believers in Christ we love the Lord and desire to serve Him, but we need to realize that our service has to be according to God’s appearing and command, following His instructions according to the pattern He shows us. Noah didn’t serve God out of his own zeal or opinions; he served God according […]

It is my Prayer and Desire to Stay in the Lord’s Dispensing All Day Long!

It is my Prayer and Desire to Stay in the Lord's Dispensing All Day Long!

It’s my prayer and desire to stay in the Lord’s dispensing all day long! Morning watch is the key and the drive for having such an experience. I benefit a lot if I stay with the Lord in the morning for at least an hour! The first thirty minutes help me get into my spirit […]

We need to Serve God according to His Revelation, by Faith, in Response to His Word

August 1, 2017 by aGodMan 10 Comments

Heb. 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous, God testifying to his gifts; and through faith, though he has died, he still speaks.

Ever since the second generation of man with Cain and Abel, man tried to serve God; Abel offered sacrifices by faith according to God’s revelation in response to His word and according to His way, while Cain served God from himself according to his own will and opinion. Man was created by God in His […]
